Smile -- you prepared them well.
And isn't it comforting to know God is preparing great wonders for our next chapter too.

"Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit." Psalm 147:5
The tranquil beauty of contained waters remind me of God, the Maker of all things and our constant, abiding Comforter.
"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!'" Isaiah 52:7
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." Colossians 2:6-7
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
"I spy something red", "I spy a dress with flowers", "I spy a bluebird". Whether in a book, with a group of friends or on a family outing, I Spy is a fun game. It can be as easy or hard as you like and adaptable to any age. Even as an adult, it can be a challenging game.
Have you ever quietly played "I spy a witness to Christ"? It can be tricky or easy depending on what clues you are seeking. If it's the dress or ornaments or talk, you might be tricked. The best assessment is from their actions. It hardly ever leads you astray.
"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only..." James 1:22
Father, our actions always speak louder than our words. May Your Light in us make it easy for others to find us... and You.
"The Lord heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds... Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit." Psalm 147:3,5
Jesus said...
"Surely I am with you always to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:20"... a teacher of children, having in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth— you then who teach others, do you not teach yourself?" Romans 2:20-21
Needing more flexibility in my personal life, yet loving my job in the library, i made a change. After CHRISTmas (and 23.5 years), i retired from my position as a school media assistant and embarked on a new journey. Serving as a substitute teacher felt like the perfect solution. And it has been, although i have faced a learning curve in this new adventure.
In my initial plan, i limited my availability to where and what levels i would work. It was then i discovered my 2025 word from church was spot-on... expand.
Are you facing an unplanned, unwanted, uncertain change? Take it from me, have an open mind and heart and give it a try. God plants rainbows and Sonshine in some of the most unlikely or unexpected places. Where He leads you, it is good and serves a purpose. I pray you find yourself willing to go and grow, as you trust Him in all things. When we limited the gifts God gives us, we limit our ability to serve Him wholeheartedly.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green." Jeremiah 17:7-8
"They remembered that God was their Rock, that God Most High was their Redeemer." Psalm 78:35
"Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58
"HE HAS RISEN!" Mark 16:6
"'Take a guard,' Pilate answered (the Pharisees). 'Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how.'" Matthew 27:65
"... there they crucified Him, along with the criminals ‑ one on His right, the other on His left. Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.'.. One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at Him... But the other rebuked Him... Then he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.' Jesus answered him, 'I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise.'" Luke 23:33‑43
We, like the criminals, are either on the right or left side of Jesus. With our speech and/or actions we are denying or accepting Him. Do we just believe in Him or do we BELIEVE Him?
Jesus humbly gave His all, so we may live. God is willing, waiting, and wanting to receive all into His Kingdom. May we remember and honor His love for us by loving Him and others. Jesus knows life on earth is not fair, challenging and violent; He lived it too. Yet, it didn't stop Him from fulfilling His mission.
To be with Jesus in paradise, is that not the ultimate desire of our hearts?
Father, may my actions and words always reflect my choice in life is You and fulfilling Your will for my life.

The significance of each day in Holy Week, needs to be remembered. Due to shortcomings, i want to backtrack two days. Please allow me to start with Palm Sunday and move forward, with you and Him.
The Palms Swayed
"They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting, 'Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the King of Israel!'" John 12:13
As we leave behind the glorious entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem on Sunday, the palm branches and cloaks scattered on His path are also gone. The bare dirt and pebbles along the path now squeeze between His toes.
Jesus said --
Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." Proverbs 16:24
"When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider; God has one as well as the other." Ecclesiastes 7:14
Spring is finally here. I am not a fan of dull gray skies, bare trees and frigid temperatures. But spring does not blossom without its shortcomings too. Pollen wreaks havoc with all ages, and rain boots are a constant companion for the feet."I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt/(out of your bondage). Open wide your mouth and I will fill it." Psalm 81:10
Trusting the One who has the power and desire to free us from everything that attempts to choke the life out of us. There is nothing more satisfying or sweeter to our lips than Him and His Word."Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
Unexpected changes and future uncertainties are a rich breeding ground for worry. And i am wobbling knee-high in a pile of worry-weeds. But the Good News is it actually assisted me in deciding what to give up for Lent.
This year i committed to give up worry. I choose to consciously pull out the doubts of my heart and turn them over to God. This has aided me in keeping God in the forefront in my mind and heart every hour, every minute.
One important purpose of Lent is to give up something that causes us to depend and focus more on God. I can honestly say by doing so, i feel an increase of His Peace. I have no answers or solutions to my circumstances, but growing trust in God. He has this for Lent... and for my entire life.
we are love and chosen by God,
may we live, love and do like we believe it,
