Summer has come to an end, and school begins today for some.  Because of a wonderful ending, i'm confident the beginning is going to be wonderful too!

Sunsets are beautiful... and fleeting. As we enjoy the beauty of the moment, we know it will not last long.  This is true for many things.

One sunset coming to a quick end is summer.  A new school year is on the horizon.  It's time to put the beach towels up and pull out notebooks.  Are you ready?

Lord, i've loved my summer with You.  The peace and joy of the season put a smile on my face.  As the season quickly approaches an end, pleased help me remember that even with the sunset of summer, the morning to come will bring it's own beauty.  As long as Your Son is set in my heart, i will continue to be filled with Your love and peace.  Tomorrow will be a gorgeous day.  Thank You.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. 
I will strengthen you and help you; 
I will uphold you with my righteous right Hand." Isaiah 41:10


God says it, and He means it... for now and always.  

Father, help me let go of fear. I need to plaster Your Words and promises all over the walls of my home and heart.  To fear anything besides You, is not trusting You are in control.  May my faith grow and my fears subside.

Jesus said...
"As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35

A mighty love we are called to have -- one like His for everyone.

here comes the bride!

"...as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you." Isaiah 62:5

Have you been to a wedding lately? I love watching the sheer delight in the groom's eyes as his bride comes to him.  The anticipation and excitement is felt from every inch of the room.  

The bridegroom's enthusiasm is obvious on the wedding day and many days to come.  But those married awhile, know in reality not every day is a shining honeymoon.  The sparkle in the eye can fade, dim or flicker out momentarily or endlessly.

I am thankful God's love for us is compared to that of the bridegroom for his bride... wondrous and gleeful.  It is here i think God's time table is extraordinary.  I love how His Word tells us... 

"A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night." Psalm 90:4

God has no boundaries nor limits. He is eternal and we can depend on Him and His love for us forever...

That bridegroom love of His for us is new every day.  Thank You, Father!
