it's not what you think...

"A patient person has great understanding..." Proverbs 14:29

Glancing at our tree, many chuckled and asked, "Why do you still have a Christmas tree up?"

"It's not a Christmas tree."

"Well, it sure looks like one."

While studying Jan Brett in January, we decided to transform our Christmas tree into a Jan Brett Winter tree.  Once our visitors took time for a look closer at the decorations, it was snow clear they had erred.

Rushing through life can cause us to jump to conclusions which lead to mistakes, problems, hurt or hard feelings, or sometimes just a good laugh. When important issues are at hand, such as in our relationship with God and others, may we take the time needed to gather knowledge and discernment.

Lord, in this fast pace world, there are definitely times we need to slow down, stop, and step back.  A great understanding starts with patience as we seek and wait for Your guidance.

friend, we are loved and chosen by God,

  1. You have to slow down and feel the grass beneath your feet.Get your feet wet at the creek,Roll in the sand at the beach or as I did last night behind my shop. Had a good fire going,it was cool, good music on watching the enormous full moon rise up thru the trees and clearing my head. Had a real good talk to God and said a few things to other people.I like a slow paced life with time to sit and talk to anybody that will listen.Clear the mind and the rest will follow,Peace,Love & Happiness. Love you,you are a blessing to this world.MJP
