"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging." Psalm 46:1-3
Have you seen the forecast? Bitter temperatures, high winds, buckets of precipitation. When will it end? How much more before a season of calmness comes? In turbulent sea(son)s, it's not unusual to feel our soul will splinter like frayed sticks if we encounter just one more painful hit.
Whatever circumstances are causing the color to drain from your knuckles:
answers not available
problems not resolved
hearts not mended
bodies not healed
feelings not consoled
No matter the demands, conflicts, heartaches, when God is our Anchor...
HE HOLDS.
The ride might feel uncontrollable and fierce, but He will safely see us through the storm and into the still waters of His peace.
A furious storm came up on the lake... But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples woke Him saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and waves, and it was completely calm.
If Jesus can sleep on the boat in a storm, shouldn't we? Oh, for a bucket more of faith instead of fear to calm the nerves. Rest, friends; praying for us to be Jesus with skin on... believing our Father for the best each day.
Thank You, Father for guiding us gingerly through life. Although like the weather, to us our life circumstances tomorrow is at best a prediction. Help our hearts to TRUST You know and have prepared perfectly for each day we face.
we are loved and chosen by God,
may we live, love and do like we believe it,
veneal
