living in your faith?

"Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to him, 'Go, I wish you well; keep warm and and well fed,' but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?  In the same way faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." James 2:15-17

Have you ever heard a remark you couldn't shake out of your head?  In talking to a new neighbor, a non-Christian, our conversation turned to religions.  She bluntly told me, based on the Christians she knew, she had no desire to ever be one. Her comment stuck in my head like a painful thorn and serves as a constant reminder of the power we possess to influence others for our Father... for the good and for the bad.

Our faith should not be so much as a definition as it should be a way of living, thinking and doing... every day, every moment, every situation.  Lord, let my faith, love and obedience to You rise boldly over any religious righteousness. Our calling by You to go and make disciples requires this kind of heart.

"Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14

have a faith-filled day!
