hey, neighbor!

"...so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.” Luke 10:20, 36-37

Walking past Ms. L's class, i waved to them.  I found myself repeating several times, "Hey, neighbor!" as 3 in her class live on my street. But when her other students started responding "Hey, neighbor!" back, i thought, they are right! They are my neighbors too.

Father, may i not neglect to show kindness and help to anyone in my path.  It's not the living next to someone that should make up neighborly, but it's having the heart to care and do for those in need.
