“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful
servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in
charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’" Matthew 25:21
I normally don't follow award programs, but last night was different. From childhood my nephew, Hugh Hayes, developed a strong love for the theater world. He pursued his dream endlessly and passionately despite the ups and downs. And, last night he had the opportunity to taste Broadway success as one of the producers for Pippin, receiving a Tony award for Best Revival of a Musical.
Thank You, Father, for letting us see dreams come true. So often when we are experiencing hardships in life we want to just give up. It's the easiest choice to make when we feel we have reached the end of a rope and options appear nil. Thank You for showing us rewards don't always come easily or quickly. And faithfulness in believing and doing is a key ingredient in succeeding... whether in the bright lights on Broadway or as a Light for You in our heart. Thank You for allowing inspiration and perspiration to produce good results, so others may see and have their hope restored.
How blessed we are to serve You, our Awesome Lord and Master. To be called by You some day 'a good and faithful servant' is the greatest reward possible, and available to all. Thank You for loving us and encouraging us to keep walking towards You... the Greatest Glory and Gift of all.
amen.
have a thank-filled day!
